Compared to the existing monorail, Zipper costs about 1/5 (1.5 billion yen/ km) and can be constructed in 1 year.
Unlike the existing ropeway, Zippar has an independent rope and carrier, so curves and branches are free to create for designing a flexible route.
By automatic driving, there is no need to be bothered by shortage of drivers. It is also free to adjust the number of vehicles according to rush hours or routes depending on users’ amount.
The safety of the drive unit will be approved in 2024. Zippar adopts a two-rope type that can operate up to 30m/s wind speed.(1.5 times the wind speed of a single-rope type ropeway can operate.)
